RENO FOR CHENNAI

RENO FOR CHENNAI is a fundraiser program on December 20th, 2015. Donations will be distributed among three charitable organizations including Indo-American Foundation & Deepam Global.

Chennai has been paralyzed by the worst flooding in a century. All the water reservoirs around the city have also been overflowing flooding the city and displacing thousands. Deepam Global has been working for the immediate relief of flood affected individuals. Our volunteers have been collecting and distributing tonnes of relief material and thousands of food packets every day. We have been careful about avoiding duplicating the efforts of the government or other organisations and making sure to reach right people.

Thousands have been forced to abandon their homes and displaced into relief camps and other temporary shelters. Kindly donate generously, the money will be used to facilitate their immediate relief like food, drinking water, clothing, mats and blankets.

When people start returning to their homes there is also a requirement to provide for long term relief and rehabilitation including prevention of communicable diseases. The money will also be used to support shelter homes and orphanages affected by the flooding.
