Land Registration and Planning for Smart Home

Finally land registered on Apr27, 2016 and we are more determined and passionate to take this project forward and raise intellectual force for a better tomorrow. Deepam team had a discussion & planning session at Kumaran's residence at 6:00PM. We discussed on Architecture, facilities to be provided and various other aspects.

Initiation of Project Smart Home

It is like dream coming true, the first "Smart Home" project intiated. Mr. Sriram, Managing Trustee of Deepam Global has funded 10 lakhs towards purchase of land at Vandalur.
The total cost of land is 30 Lakhs including registration.In months time we have targeted to raise the balance 20 Lakhs to complete the land buying formalities.

Art and Cultural Engagement for Aarul Illam Kids

Deepam Global arranged a professional teacher to teach Guitar to interested kids of Aarul Illam as part of our Art & Cultural engagement. Shaini, one of the beneficiaries was very quick in understanding the fundamentals of Guitar. Every moment spent with these kids was fabulous.

These kids are full of talent, passionate in what they do, and we are confident to conduct live concerts in near future.

Special Movie Show for Aarul Illam Kids

Deepam Global organised a Special Theri Show for Aarul Illam Children. Mr.Kumaran took the initiative of organising this show and the event was coordinated by the entire Deepam team. Around 75 people including children, volunteers with Family members actively participated in the show. The movie was streamed in AGS OMR and Parveen Travels sponspored a bus transporting the kids from Aarul Illam to the threatre. Deepam Global team feels overwhemled and proud in creating smiles in these children and hopes to organise many more such events.

Tamil New Year Celebration with Aarul Illam Kids

Deepam team with Kumaran, Manish, Velayudham, Sriram wanted to wish Kids and also motivate themon Tamil New year day. The day was filled with Lots of singing, dancing enjoyment. Kids were overjoyed to see us. It is just a spark to plan a movie with 66 kids and supporting staff, and the immediate proposal is to plan for "Theri" featuring actor Vijay.

Smart Home Planning

We all know Arul Illam kids do not have a permanent place to live , we at deepam committed in setting up an infrastructure which provides the kid a smart infrastructure so that they can excel in studies. These kids are having dream of becoming IAS, IPS, Doctor and serve the society. We are with them and will provide all the necessary contribution to realise their dreams.
In this regard we have have seen a plot 2635 sq ft, initially quoted at 35Lacs, just opposite to Umanancheri Bus stand for 27 lakhs. Property is just behind Police quarters and 2KM's away from Vandalur Zoo on Kelambakkam Road. Deepam Team was requested to visit the sight and give their opinion.

Out of 1.5Crore budget our Managing trustee has funded the land cost of 30 Lacs (including registration). We would invite each and every donor to fund the balance 1.2 Crores to complete this project. The construction area 6,500 Sq. Ft hosting 96 kids of boys and girls. The donors who are contributing more than 1Lac individually or in group, their names will be displayed on the building as contributors.

Identification of Land for Smart Home

For the project "Smart Home" we sought land on Apr 11th, 2016 at Unamancheri and tentative date to buy is fixed.

Educational Support to PSHS School

Deepam organised fund for PSHS School towards education and related infrastrucure. In this regard, a cheque of INR 25,000 was handed over to Head Master Mr. Padmanabhan who appreciated the effort by Deepam team. Team was accompanied by Sriram, Rajan, Kanniappan & Balaji Sharma.
